As a lacquer artist, I develop a practice at the intersection of material and gesture.

Trained in the decorative arts at the École Estienne and graduating from ENSAAMA in 2007, I have built my career around the art of lacquer, balancing artistic creation with the conservation and restoration of lacquered objects.

My work is rooted in a process of layering, through which the material slowly takes shape, transforms, and reveals its own tensions. Texture, transparency, and inlaid elements play an essential role, allowing unstable forms to emerge and dissolve, suspended between appearance and disappearance.

Alongside this core practice, I have developed a space for research and experimentation. This studio laboratory allows me to explore different approaches to material, gesture, and texture. These investigations directly inform my lacquer work and open new creative possibilities.

Now based in Montreal, I continue my research by exploring the contemporary possibilities of lacquer, particularly through experimentation with water-based varnishes.

Between darkness and light, my work unfolds as a sensitive exploration, akin to an inner journey, where material becomes a space to move through.
